Music in the Vale

presents an annual series of Chamber Music Recitals in St. Denys’ Church, Stanford-in-the-Vale and surrounding parishes.
Drawing from a wide circle of musicians, the recital programmes are varied and include popular and some less well known pieces.

The last concert we were able to present was:

“Music from Vienna”
Duos and Trios by Bach, Mozart, Molino
Vale Baroque: Caroline Duffner – violin,
Emma Sheppard – viola,
David Pedder – classical guitar

Our next concert entitled 'Linking Classical & Folk' was to have started at 3.00pm on Sunday 22nd November 2020 in St Denys Church, Stanford in the Vale. The concert was to have featured The Moonrakers:

Eleanor Dunsdon – harp, Jacqui Johnson – cello, harmonium
Sarah Fell – voice, drums Jon Bennett – voice, guitar, Irish bouzouki, flute
performing traditional and contemporary folk music – and exploring their roots.

However the impact of the Covid situation meant the church was not available. We have therefore had to cancel this concert and hope to start our planning process for our next programme. Meanwhile our sincere thanks for supporting our Music in the Vale programme so well and our best wishes for the New Year.
